The combination of youth and cultural heritage is said to appeal to the Japanese people and Valkyrien Allstars hope to reach out to the audience precisely by presenting a music that has no border or age – only the simplicity of an open youthful mind.

Their musical style can be described as fiddling with ‘attitude’ over improvisational riffs, connected with an almost explosive and unpredictable stage presence that is crowned by Tuva Syvertsen’s powerful voice. Their music is based on traditional Norwegian tunes, but with a personal expression that gives the music a more modern and international sound. They succeed in bringing folk-music further ahead and can be reckoned as forward-thinkers and door-openers in their field of music. Their second album "To måner" was released in August 2009.

Valkyrien Allstars has been invited by the Japanese agency Harmony Fields to do a promotion tour in the country. Harmony fields has specialized in Nordic Music and consider Valkyrien Allstars to have great possibilities in succeeding in Japan.

Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world after the USA and represents almost 20% of total worldwide sales. In 2008, over 62 million CD's were imported into Japan representing 23.5% of all CD sales. If you are in the business of selling music then Japan is one of your major markets and should not be overlooked.
