Folkelarm 2009 has grown significantly since its initial event five years ago, and is now considered as being Scandinavia’s key happening for the traditional/world/crossover music industry. The programme is diverse and strong, varying from acoustic and pure-sounding traditional soloists and duos to big-band crossover acts.
The event’s Nordic focus is also evident, given the appearance of such top acts as Finland’s Karoliina Kantelinen, Sweden’s Hedningarna and Denmark’s Afenginn.
