Flukt

flukt

The music played by FLUKT is one of the many breaths of fresh air that have emerged in traditional music in Norway during the past few years.

This group combines thorough expertise in the best of Norwegian folk music with training in other musical genres and music from other countries. The three musicians, Sturla Eide Sundli, Øivind Farmen and Sondre Meisfjord, come from different backgrounds, which has enabled the group to develop its own distinctive performance style. With experience ranging from traditional fiddling to music studies at conservatory and university level, the group has established its own platform within the traditional music genre. Their music is suited primarily to a concert stage, but is rhythmic enough to function admirably as dance music.
